ANDI SCHMID of NIGHTINGALES – Song For Ewe

“SONG FOR EWE”
with ANDI SCHMID of
NIGHTINGALES

“SONG FOR EWE” is the feature where artists & music people beloved by VELVET SHEEP choose an obscure song they’ve been listening to that day. Today’s guest is the second in a series this week of members of intellectually challenging, next door neighbour bothering cult Midlands concern,  the Nightingales. Forget your January blues, a brand new EP called “Become Not Becoming” by said Nightingales (Velvet Sheep favourites), is hurtling your way this Friday 27th January.

Each day this week from Monday to Thursday, we’ll have a different member of the band choosing a song they’ve enjoyed lately, with a review of the EP on Friday. Yesterday it was Jimmy come-lately, Jim Smith. Today’s guest is Gales bassist –  Andi Schmid!

Here’s Andi’s “song for ewe”…

“Mac Demarco – “Viceroy”
Not particularly obscure or anything and I don’t really know much about the fella. A friend of me went up to see him Cologne, got pissed and made out with him after the gig so I thought he must be worth checking out. Got his album and it’s pretty much all I’ve been listening to since.”

CHEERS ANDI AND SEAN FROM MUTANTE. COME BACK TOMORROW FOR THE NEXT IN OUR EXCLUSIVE GALES “SONG FOR EWE” SERIES.
